Last August, my best friend Erin got married. She was the most perfect, beautiful bride I have ever seen. And I'm not just saying that because she's my bestie. The whole world agrees with me.

TOLD YOU
Erin and I have known each other for almost 7 years....we met on MySpace. NOT EVEN KIDDING. We both grew up in Annapolis, knew the same people, and even worked together briefly. One day, I got a MySpace message and friend request from Erin (she totally courted me) and I remembered her...we started messaging each other all the time, I was living in NYC and interning for The People's Revolution, and we kept in touch. When we finally hung out in person, we never stopped! She is one of the kindest people I know, and we totally read each others minds. We get each other like nobody else can...and I'm so lucky to have a bestie like her!
When Erin got engaged on Thanksgiving Day 2010 and I got the picture message of the ring....I literally screamed, jumped off the couch, and started crying. I was SO happy for her, she was engaged to an amazing man who is an amazing father to her son, and she was getting the fairytale she deserved. And obviously, I couldn't wait to help plan....and I was SO honored when she asked me to be a bridesmaid. I can't wait until the day I get to have her in my wedding!
Erin has GREAT style. She is classic and preppy but with a stylish twist. The girl lives and breathes for Lilly Pulitzer. She knows what she wants and what she likes, and she is so classic Annapolis. She knew that she wanted a Lilly inspired pink and green bridal shower. She basically planned it herself (we're exactly alike....my bridesmaids won't be able to surprise me with anything...it's already planned!)
I can't even take credit for this flawless shower. Sure, with my fellow BM's, especially Lindsay, Erin's sister and Maid of Honor, I helped execute it, but Erin picked the scheme, the cake, the accessories, and basically everything. I just rented the linens, shopped for a few supplies, and set it up. Thank you to Lindsay, Mara, Casey, Maria and Morgan....and also thank you to Erin's family and friends that also helped, and came and enjoyed such a special day!

It was SO HOT the day we had the shower....and the clubhouse didn't have A/C! I picked up these pink & green paper fans from Party City to do double duty...keep the guests cool and disguise the less than glamorous chairs!
simple centerpieces....green apples, hot pink carnations, distilled water (TIP: always use distilled water, it prevents bubbles from forming!)
Lilly Pulitzer plates and animal crackers
