old candles=new vases

I am a creative genius. As an event planner, I have a collection of vases that basically looks like a Michael's store threw up in my garage. As the most phenomenal hostess on the planet, I obviously always have candles burning so that my home smells divine. Ever heard that to easily get candle wax off of something, you can freeze the item and it pops right off? Me neither, until my friend Roberto at one of my fave rental companies, Rentals To Remember, told me this easy little trick.

This is where my creative genius side comes out. I burn candles all the time, and I was just throwing away the simple glass containers they came in. NOT ANYMORE! I stick those bad boys in the freezer for a few hours, then stab the hardened wax a few times with a knife to loosen it, and VOILA, you have a new vase! Then I just soak off the labels and run it in the dishwasher. SO FAB SO CHEAP SO ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY.

I use these everywhere....for cotton balls in my bathroom, for flowers, for pens/pencils...You can use them to display cake pops in at a party, or put straws/utensils in...the options are endless!

Here's some pics...excuse the quality I just used my phone....I wasn't about to stage a photoshoot I HAVE WEDDINGS TO PLAN!
